Soria Moria Palace

One of the most well-known and well-loved of the Norwegian folktales, “Soria Moria Palace” is a tale of how Halvor, an iteration of Askeladden, wins his pick of three princesses held in three different palaces by three trolls who between them have eighteen heads. His carelessness thereafter is nearly the cause of disaster, but with the help of the north wind, and wearing his seven league boots, he rewins the hand of the youngest princess on her wedding day.
